Advanced Authorities provide additional features like active revocation, BYO Root, ACME External Account Binding, and renewal after certificate expiry. Advanced Authorities incur charges after a trial expiration but can be removed from the Smallstep Dashboard using the following instructions.
Adding an Advanced Authority: Adding a new Advanced Authority is accomplished in the Smallstep Dashboard under Certificate Manager --> Authorities.
Removing an Advanced Authority
Advanced Authorities incur usage charges after your Smallstep trial has ended. If you'd like to remove an Advanced Authority, you can do so via the Smallstep Dashboard by logging in and editing the Advanced Authority. A hyperlink (shown below) will delete the Authority you're currently editing.
Steps:
- Log into your Smallstep Dashboard with your Team name.
- Navigate to Certificate Manager --> Authorities.
- Click on the verticle ellipsis and select "View Details" as shown below.
- From the Authority Details page, scroll to the bottom and click the "Delete this authority" hyperlink. Confirm the "Are you sure?" dialog.
